No birding trips or outings were undertaken in June, mostly due to an intense workload on my part. However, I managed to spend some time working to upgrade and update the website. Some updates include:
- Map information and brief description for sites which are not yet reviewed. I feel that even though I may not have enough time to write a full description of a site, I can be of assistance to birders by posting maps and directions to various birdwatching locations in the country. I’ve also added a short blurb at the end to summarize the quality of the site, for those who are interested.
- Edited the text to make it shorter for those who don’t like to read too much information.
- Added a pros and cons list to the end of each site.
- Repaired a number of broken links.
So far the only complete section is Ranong Birdwatching Sites. I should be able to complete the next two sections by the end of July.
News of interesting birds seen in the south for the last few months can be seen on Dave Sergeant’s North Thailand Birding Website, covering birding sightings from all around the country. North Thailand Birdwatching is affiliated with Game’s South Thailand Birdwatching site.
